A Pretoria security guard was yesterday found guilty in the North Gauteng high court of killing a teenage dancer.
Aron Mashishi, 26, robbed Estee van Rensburg, 19, of her belongings before shooting her at her Faerie Glen home in March last year.
Mashishi was hired by Van Rensburg's father to protect her.
He was last week convicted on a charge of robbery with aggravating circumstances and eleven charges of theft, after he admitted robbing the dancer but pleaded not guilty to her murder.
The judge rejected his claim that she was killed by an "accomplice".
He stole her bank card, car, electronic goods and an evening dress.
Mashishi then went on a spending spree with money he systematically withdrew from Van Rensburg's bank account after her death.
He was arrested on April 1 last year and will be sentenced today.
