Gration will visit Khartoum, Darfur and south Sudan and leave on April 11.
Gration was nominated as the US put pressure on Sudan's President Omar al-Bashir following his expulsion of international aid groups from Darfur.
The expulsion came days after the International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for Bashir. - Sapa-AFP
