Freddie Nyathela, the president of the South African Roadies Association, is flying out today to attend the Prolight + Sound trade fair in Frankfurt, Germany, from tomorrow until Saturday.

"This visit is crucial in terms of networking as it gives us a chance of presenting our 'initiatives' to 80000 people in our scope of operations, who are from 100 countries of the world," he said.

Prolight + Sound is the biggest trade fair for the event sector and as the leading international trade fair, it brings together event and communication technology, audio-visual production and entertainment to create the world's biggest meeting place for the sector.

The visit also gives Nyathela a chance to attend industry educational seminars, meet cutting-edge equipment makers, acquire strategic assistance for the South African Roadies Association and in turn also create opportunities for technically-oriented South African youths.

Nyathela will also have a meeting with representatives from Bosh/Electro-Voice.
