Free State 2010 World Cup ambassador Petros Molemela will deliver the keynote address at the opening of the Brebner High School Under-17 tournament in Bloemfontein today.

Molemela, the life president of Premiership side Bloemfontein Celtic, is expected to use the opportunity to urge the Free State community to embrace the Confederations Cup by applying for tickets in big numbers.

Twenty four teams from as far as Zimbabwe have been invited to take part in this tournament, which the city of Mangaung will also use to promote the Confederations Cup and 2010 World Cup.

Lele Mmatau, Mangaung's World Cup office communications director, said they were happy to be part of this international tournament.

"We will also have a five a side game where some of the Free State World Cup ambassadors will play against a team from Prince Edward school in Zimbabwe."

Besides Molemela, some of the Free State ambassadors include two legends from Bloemfontein, Ishmael Mokitlane and Benjamin Reed.
