South African football followers are known, perhaps worldwide, for their uniqueness when it comes to dressing up and cheering for their teams.

We have seen innovative ideas like the vuvuzela, oversized spectacles, Bibles and dictionaries, to the makarapa in various guises.

Alfred Baloyi is the creator of the makarapa (hard hat) that fans proudly wear adorned with different designs as their teams play.

He tells his story on the African Soccer Television show which airs on SABC1 Sport's Laduma programme on Sundays at 2.30pm.

While it is an interesting story, he hasn't exactly been smiling all the way to the bank.

Round four of Angola's 2008-09 Girabola League saw some exciting action with Benfica Luanda playing to a 1-all draw with 1º Maio while Academica do Soyo pipped Interclube 1-0 and Kabuscorp ran riot, humiliating Academico Lobito 6-0.

Highlights from the 2009 CAF Champions League round of 32 include the goalless draw between Africa Sport and Zesco United from Zambia and Asec Mimosas' 2-0 win over Etoile Filante de Ouagadougou of Egypt.

ASTV also has highlights from the 2009 CAF Under-17 Championship and continues with the state of readiness for the 2010 Fifa World Cup here at home.
