Mathale takes over as premier
Limpopo ANC provincial chairperson Cassel Mathale left many people baffled when he did not acknowledge the role played by his predecessor, Sello Moloto, during his acceptance speech as the new premier yesterday.
Instead, Mathale praised former premier Ngoako Ramatlhodi for ensuring the province's economy improved.
He was sworn in as premier yesterday in the Lebowakgomo legislative chambers.
His installation comes three weeks after Moloto defected to the Congress of the People.
In his speech, Mathale said it was through the solid foundation laid by Ramatlhodi and his government that the people of Limpopo were able to realise their dream of "a better life for all".
