While political parties are busy canvassing for votes for the general elections on April 22, Absa Premiership giants Orlando Pirates are on their own campaign trail.

The Buccaneers have launched a road show aimed at luring The Ghost in throngs to their matches as they hope to dethrone SuperSport United of their Absa Premiership title in May.

The road show, which began in Johannesburg early this month, is bearing fruit for Pirates in terms of support in thIe run-in.

They are taking the second leg of the road show to North West where they will be in Klerksdorp tomorrow and on Saturday.

"We launched the campaign on the eve of our match against Mamelodi Sundowns and we had an impressive turnout for that game," said Mickey Modisane, Pirates spokesperson.

"The Ghost played a significant role in motivating the players, and it's history that we won that match 2-0.

"We are going to organise such road shows until the last match of the season."
