Celebrated jazz trumpeter Ndumiso Nyovane has proved that he is a jack of all trades by joining Soweto TV as a presenter.

Nyovane is the latest musician to present a show on television after Keke Phoofolo and Rebecca Malope, who have both done it with success.

The Mofolo-born singer will co-host Just Music from this Friday between 9pm and 10pm with Jozi FM's Prince Shabalala and Lelethu.

Nyovane said his role in the show will be to cover jazz club sessions and jazz festivals. "I am excited to be part of this show that gives jazz music special attention. The show focuses on R&B and jazz music.

"However, my role is to attend jazz club sessions and give people the exposure they deserve."

Nyovane cut his teeth with Sipho Mabuse's Harare band. He also worked with the late Lucky Dube before he went solo. He released his debut album, Mofolo Hall, in 2001.

On April 4, he will be part of the Cape Town Jazz International festival.
