NETBALLERS HARD TO CHOOSE

Fifty young netballers were drafted into the Limpopo Province Netball Association provisional team during the Super 20 matches at Peter Mokaba netball courts on Saturday.

Fifty young netballers were drafted into the Limpopo Province Netball Association provisional team during the Super 20 matches at Peter Mokaba netball courts on Saturday.

The matches were aimed at selecting the top 15 players for the provincial team, the Crocodiles, in the national league.

LPNA president Monica Setumu said due to the talent on display, they selected 50 players who will be trimmed to 15 on March 29.

"Players showed commitment and eagerness to learn, hence we restructured our plans," said Setumu.

In an tournament watched by many youngsters, Mokopane beat Brazilians 8-1 and Molema Peace Makers 5-3 to win the men's division.

In the women's section Young Fighters beat Thunder Girls 9-5 and Mokondeni beat NkowaNkowa City Ramblers 16-11.

The national league starts on April 17. - Matome Lebea
