South African teams in the CAF Champions League should be grateful they do not have the misfortune of Tanzania's Young Africans.

While SuperSport United and Ajax Cape Town have drawn unfashionable opposition in Uganda's Kampala City Council and Monomotapa of Zimbabwe, the Tanzanians - they had a blissful first round in which they obliterated Etoile d'Or Mirontsy 14-1 - are saddled with champions Al Ahly of Egypt.

United's clash with Kampala kicks off this afternoon at 3, after the match was brought forward due to the unavailability of the Nakivubo Stadium this weekend.

Coach Gavin Hunt says he was aims to reach the quarterfinal stage and will not be derailed by the Ugandans.

Except for those players who have not been registered - Excellent Walaza, Lerato Chabangu and Lance Davids - Hunt takes with him a full-strength squad.

Hunt's strategy will include Tefera Fikru and Glen Salmon upfront, with wingers Daine Klate and Elias Pelembe key in chasing that precious away goal.

Meanwhile, Ajax host Monomotapa at Boland Stadium in Wellington tomorrow at 4pm.

Nothing but a comprehensive win will do for Craig Rosslee's team at home, though they are riddled with injuries.

Sean Roberts, Mfundo Shumana, Stanton Lewis, Sifiso Vilakazi, Ramon Carbonier and Nhlanhla Shabalala are all out.

The team's public relations officer Thabiso Mekutu expressed his team's disappointment at the cancellation of their midweek match, which would have provided valuable game time.
