KwaZulu-Natal's fastest growing commercial radio station, Gagasi FM, in partnership with Vodacom, is offering up-and-coming DJs an opportunity to crack it in the industry.

Gagasi FM's acting station manager Alex Mthiyane says the aim of the talent search is to give young, creative, confident, aspirant, fun loving and intelligent individuals an opportunity to become the kings and queens of the airwaves.

"The partnership will go a long way in assisting aspirant DJs to unleash their potential," he said.

Gagasi's programme manager Patrick Bogatsu says the competition will run for three months.

After the initial auditions, 10 people will be shortlisted.

"The first batch to be selected will be given an opportunity to co-host some programmes.

"Listeners will vote for those they think are best until two remain.

"The last two will be interviewed on air and our listeners will vote for the best.

"The winner will be granted a year-long contract with the station."
