Aman Kachru, 19, died on Sunday after he was attacked at Rajendra Prasad Medical College.

Kachru was allegedly assaulted by the final-year students during a "ragging" session on Friday night.

Ragging, an initiation ritual undergone by new students, is banned in educational institutions under Indian law. - Sapa-DPA
