Witbank Spurs supporters' coordinator Bheki Sindane has resigned from the club, saying he was "sick and tired of amateurish treatment I got there".

Sindane, who has been with the team since 2004, was recently quoted in the media saying he was furious that Spurs' management did not appoint him as the team's spokesperson.

This was after the departure of then spokesperson Thabo Moroape, who has since joined cross-town rivals Mpumalanga Black Aces in the same capacity.

Three weeks ago Spurs appointed George Khumalo as their spokesperson. This didn't go down well with Sindane, according to a source at the club, and he resigned.

Themba Mafu, Spurs' chairperson, said they would not appoint Sindane as spokesperson as he has got a full-time job.

"Sindane is always not available when needed by the media and this post needs a person on a full-time basis," he said.

Mafu said Khumalo has not been appointed permanently.
