Sello "Zoro" Rampedi, provincial coach of the Limpopo Softball Association says he is concerned about their poor preparations for Softball South Africa national provincial championship.

The championship will be held at Edenvale from March 15 to 21.

Last year's edition was won by KwaZulu-Natal who beat Western Province in the final, while Limpopo came third after losing to Western Province.

Rampedi said unlike in other years where they had more than a week-long camping session, this year they only met for a day.

"We are worried about the players' fitness and the strategies that we were unable to practice. We will rely on the players' club level experience and fitness," Rampedi told Sowetan yesterday.

But he is confident " that with the heavily experienced squad we will bring home the gold medals".

Rampedi's side will be boosted by national softball team players Thabang Letsoalo, Moses Molaba, Tebogo Ramogoadi, Tidima Kekana and Thapelo Seshoka.
