A cash-in-transitvehicle was damaged during an attempted heist in Milnerton, Cape Town, yesterday morning, Western Cape police said.

A cash-in-transitvehicle was damaged during an attempted heist in Milnerton, Cape Town, yesterday morning, Western Cape police said.

"They tried to take the money but they didn't succeed. Instead, they abandoned a stolen Mercedes-Benz they used at the scene," said Superintendent Andre Traut.

No one was injured during the incident at corner of Racecourse and Du Plessis roads, he said.
