Take heed of history lessons from Africa

Dancing in defiance at the prospect of being arrested - sounds familiar? No it is not Jacob Zuma, but the president of Sudan, Omar al-Bashir.

While Zuma sings for his machine gun, al-Bashir has been marketing war. He throws out charities that want to feed his people and embraces arms dealers.

Al-Bashir also sings the same song as Robert Mugabe - blaming everything on colonialism while selling two thirds of his petroleum to China.

If South Africa does not learn from these histories, this country will be condemned to repeat them.
