Former students of Khaiso High School, Boiketlo Primary School and CM Setlhapelo Secondary School in Polokwane are invited to take part in the 2008 Boys 2 Men Project.

This month, former pupils will rub shoulders with stage, television and movie celebrities. Actor Patrick Shai, popular comedian Shonisani Muleya and many other famous people will nurture and mould boys into future leaders.

Organiser Lydia Moleele of Lyds Productions said: "Boys 2 Men features mentoring and coaching sessions conducted by celebrities and professionals. It seeks to use men as a solution in the campaign to teach boys that violence, crime, unresolved anger, bullying and quitting school will not help to nurture future leaders."

She said boys from several Limpopo schools around Seshego, Polokwane, would be shown the importance of pursuing sports, valuing education and training, leading healthy lives and volunteering in youth and community development projects.

Other Limpopo-based professionals in sport, theatre, business, maths and science are invited to volunteer at the event that will feature motivational talks, life skills coaching sessions and career guidance classes.

The South African Roadies Association, led by Freddy Nyathela, is also supporting the initiative. For more information log on to lydia.moleele@vodamail.co.za
