The National First Division has gone into a six-week recess with three more games left in the inland and coastal streams.

Only teams that have qualified for the Nedbank Cup last 32 will be active during the break. The league resumes on April 4.

In the inland stream Jomo Cosmos, AmaTuks, Mpumalanga Black Aces and Winners Park are in the running for berths in the promotion playoffs.

They are separated by a mere three points with Ezenkosi leading the pack.

The relegation battle there involves FC AK, Dynamos, Witbank Spurs and Black Leopards.

In the coastal stream, the race for promotionis between rookies Carara Kicks, FC Cape Town and African Warriors. Only a miracle can save Durban Stars from the drop.
