Congress of the People yesterday postponed a top-level press conference because the ANC had not yet decided the fate of Limpopo premier Sello Moloto.
Cope was also expected to introduce former deputy president Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka as their new member and also announce that Moloto, left, had joined them.
Mlambo-Ngcuka decided to join Cope after the ANC announced its candidates list on which she was not included.
Cope insiders said Moloto was supposed to have made his decision to join them on Wednesday.
It was expected that the ANC's national executive committee would have by then endorsed a decision by its Limpopo provincial executive committee to axe Moloto after his fall from political favour.
