Today sees the third and final twilight meeting of the season take place at Turffontein. The eight-race card begins at 2.10pm with the final race going off at 6.10pm. All races will be run on the inside track.

Today sees the third and final twilight meeting of the season take place at Turffontein. The eight-race card begins at 2.10pm with the final race going off at 6.10pm. All races will be run on the inside track.

However, this meeting is the gateway to the Gauteng Festival of Racing.

Guineas Day takes place on Saturday with the running of four graded races including the R1million Gauteng Guineas, which is the first leg of the Triple Crown. The other two legs are the R2million SA Classic over 1800m on Saturday, March 28 and the R1,5million SA Derby over 2450m on Saturday, April 25. There is a bonus of R2million up for grabs for any horse that can capture all three races.

The other races to take place on Guineas Day are the Grade 1 Laurie Jaffee Empress Club Stakes, the Gauteng Fillies Guineas (G2) and the Hawaii Stakes (G2). All the races are scheduled to be run on the Turffontein standside track.

Following on from Friday's Turffontein meeting, is a night meeting at Greyville in Durban.

The eight-race race programme will start at 5.20pm with the eighth and final event of the evening going off at 9.05pm.
