Former Premier Soccer League referee Herman Nkuna says he was surprised to see reports linking him to ambitious Vodacom Promotional League club City Tigers.

It was reported at the weekend that Nkuna, who is now a Fifa and CAF match commissioner, and former Ria Stars co-director Ria Ledwaba were buying into Tigers, which is owned by Sinky Mnisi.

"I'm not a co-owner or about to buy any club and this includes City Tigers and I will never do that," said Nkuna yesterday.

Ledwaba said yesterday: "If ever I came back to football it will be in Limpopo and only after the 2010 World Cup. "
