Reigning champions SuperSport United will successfully defend the Absa Premiership title irrespective of the outcome of Saturday's game against Kaizer Chiefs, three experts have predicted.
The trio are soccer legends Mike Ntombela and Calvin Petersen and massively experienced coach Kenny Ndlazi.
Amakhosi welcome United in a fixture which will also see Loftus Stadium unveiled for the Confederations Cup after the renovation process was completed.
"I think there is still a long way to go before the end of the season, the league is a marathon but my pick for the title is SuperSport United," said Ntombela.
"The game against Chiefs will be a tough one, but United still have a lot of games at home against the big guns. They also do well away against the other clubs.
"Gavin Hunt and Thomas Madigage have assembled a team with an array of experienced players. They are spoiled for choice.
"The big three, namely Orlando Pirates, Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns, should not be ruled out in case of a miracle happening."
Ndlazi, a technical consultant for National First Division side Witbank Spurs and former South African under-23 assistant coach, said: "It has to be SuperSport United again, they are consistent, compared to the other teams and also have many quality players.
"The problem with Ajax Cape Town is that it's a relatively young team, which is the problem that Pitso [Mosimane] had when he was still with SuperSport.
"Sundowns are a good side but they are still trying to gel. Pirates and Chiefs must forget it, they are having serious problems in the goalkeeping department."
Petersen, who is coaching Vodacom League side Brazil in Pietermaritzburg, said: "I pick SuperSport United because of their consistency. Moroka Swallows will be my dark horse."
Meanwhile, the Premiership campaign resumes tomorrow with three games kicking off at 7.30pm. United are away to AmaZulu at Chatsworth Stadium, Moroka Swallows return to Olympia Park for a date with Santos, while Ajax host Bay United at Athlone Stadium.
