Two weeks ago, the Gauteng education department announced that all outstanding matric results, except for pupils who are probed for irregularities, were out.

But, so far no results have been released.

Samuel Welkom wrote his matric exams at Oakdale High School in Ennerdale and is still waiting for his results.

His brother, Joseph Welkom, has been trying to get answers from the department to no avail.

"I went to the school and the Lenasia South district office and was told that my brother's oral exam marks for English and Afrikaans were not submitted to the head office.

"I worked with the people from the district office and sent the results to the department. I even sent a register to show them that he was present during the exams," Welkom said.

That was three weeks ago and the department has not yet contacted him.

Gauteng education department spokesman Nanagolo Leopeng could not say why they had not contacted Welkom about his results.
