There were a few surprises in Limpopo Softball Association matches on Sunday as Mahwelereng Spikes lost to Lebowakgomo Wildbeasts before regrouping against Seleteng Giant Killers, winning 6-2 to remain second on the log.

The matches were played at Seshego diamonds.

Wildbeasts surprised everyone, including themselves, when they beat the on-song Spikes 5-2 during a tightly contested affair.

Sunday's victory was sweet revenge for Wildbeasts after Spikes beat them in the final of the Windhoek Draught Top 8 in December.

Wildbeasts managed to collect six points after hosts Seshego Raiders could not field a team because some of their players from Gauteng failed to turn up.

In other matches Seshego Cannons beat fellow strugglers Mmotong Lions 9-4, while Killers collected three points courtesy of Raiders. - Matome Lebea
