The girl, Jordan-Lee Jaars, was taken from her home at 8pm on Sunday, said Inspector Ian Williams yesterday.
Jaars' mother had left her sleeping daughter at home to go to a nearby shop. When she returned, her daughter was gone.
Williams said the police had information that Jaars was seen being carried by a man in a hooded sweatshirt on a bicycle. - Sapa
