Moloto leaves many in limbo

Limpopo premier Sello Moloto's state of the province address last week is said to have as sounded more like farewell speech.

This is the view of University of Limpopo political analyst Professor Lesiba Teffo.

Moloto gave the address, probably his last, in the Lebowakgomo legislative chambers last Thursday but unusually did not mention the ANC much.

Unlike in previous addresses, Moloto did not touch mainly on the ruling ANC's successes, but on its shortfalls.

He lambasted other politicians for thinking they were entitled to government tenders and contracts.

"Moloto might have realised that the ANC wants Cassel Mathale, current ANC provincial chairman, to succeed him by hook or crook, hence he did not bother to elaborate about the ANC," said Teffo.

He said it becomes anybody's guess as to where Moloto is destined for.
