Nkosinathi "Glenoh" Zungu, a possibly dangerous and armed fugitive, has police worried and calling on the public for help.

Investigating officer Captain Happy Vilankulu is no stranger to playing hide-and-seek with Zungu, 33, who he arrested two years ago after a 10-day chase.

Vilankulu can be contacted on 079-986-4795 by anyone with information that may lead to the rearrest.

Zungu escaped from the Johannesburg high court last Monday - an hour before his trial for murder, attempted murder, unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition was to resume.

He smashed a window in the court to get into a passage, walked out the door, jumped over the fence into Smal Street and disappeared.

Zungu allegedly gunned down Isaac Ramotsela, a lawyer who had been dating the mother of his two children, Fundi Ganda.

Ganda was shot twice. She survived but was left crippled.

During the trial, Zungu admitted to shooting the couple with an R-5 rifle but said he never meant to kill, he just wanted the couple paralysed so they would end their affair.

Presiding Judge Sisi Khampepe last week called for a thorough investigation into the escape and issued an arrest warrant for Zungu.
