A woman was seriously injured when an intruder wearing a balaclava stabbed her eight times at Teenkop farm near Chrissiesmeer in Mpumalanga, .
Yvonne Guvb, 65, was in the company of her relative Tracy Timberton when a man broke into their house at about 1.30am yesterday.
"We were told that the attacker was wearing a balaclava and just stabbed the woman before running out of the house without taking anything," said police spokesman Superintendent Abie Khoabane yesterday.
Timberton was left unharmed while Guvb was rushed to hospital.
No arrests had been made by late yesterday.
