Though the organisers anticipate a strong field in the two events, they could not immediately confirm the names of the athletes who will compete on the day.
The winners in both categories will each take home R1 000.
There will also be incentives for athletes with the fasted times. The popular 5km fun run starts at 6.15am and the mini marathon for children begins at 9.30am. - Sowetan
