The Mpumalanga ANC Youth League is determined to ensure that the ANC "wins all 29 seats" in the next provincial elections.

Provincial secretary Isaac Mahlangu and provincial spokesman Hamzer Ngwenya made this promise in a joint statement yesterday .

"None of those mad dogs who defected from the ANC and who now form the assembly of Polokwane's losers should get anything," they said.

They said the ANC personnel who will be elected to office will be of the highest calibre with no history of scandals - while gender equality should also play a key role.

They also expressed their concern over the poor matric results and the cholera pandemic, saying the league was not only concerned about the low pass rate but also by the delay in releasing all the results.

The youth league also fully supported the fight against cholera, saying it was wrong to claim that the disease came from Zimbabwe. - Riot Hlatshwayo
