The ongoing mudslinging between Mangosuthu Buthelezi and Julius Malema is uncalled for. We all know that the IFP is a violent and tribalist party and such parties have no place in South Africa.

Buthelezi's outburst is just a confirmation of his party's extremely violent nature because I cannot find anything wrong with what Malema said. When is it ever wrong to recruit people to join your political party?

Buthelezi's statements are disturbing because they incite violence and are politically incorrect.

I would like to remind fellow South Africans that Buthelezi is a questionable leader.

He was leader of the IFP when people in KwaZulu-Natal were butchered by IFP thugs and he did little to stop them.

Inkosi Buthelezi, sir, Malema never disrespected anyone, as you allege.

He was simply communicating the position of the only vibrant youth structure - the ANCYL - that the then state president should be recalled.

That is history and indeed Malema was telling it as it was at the time.
