Shake-up for Safa officials
The South African Football Association has roped in two seasoned administrators, Jabulani Ndobe and Victor Matshogo, to run the Vodacom League.
Ndobe is from Limpopo where he was secretary of the federation in the province and also as an executive member of the Vhembe region.
He will be in charge of five provinces - Gauteng, Mpumalanga, Free State, Eastern Cape and KwaZulu-Natal.
As for Matshogo, he is going to Safa House after serving the federation as a second coordinator of the Metropolitan League and West Rand regional executive member.
Matshogo will be responsible for Limpopo, North West, Northern Cape and Western Cape.
Safa has also announced that Wellington Ngcobo and Michael Mofokeng will be joint coordinators of the Metropolitan League.
Connie Twala will be in charge of the SAB Regional League, with Lucy Ramaube responsible for the women's leagues.
Meanwhile, Balebetse Monnakgotla, Safa competitions department director, is heading to Eastern Cape to inspect the facilities for the Vodacom League playoffs.
The 11th edition of the playoffs will take place in East London from May 4 to 10 with the two sides from each stream promoted to the First Division League.
Monnakgotla said they were gearing themselves for an exciting competition. As usual, talent scouts from the Premiership and First Division sides will attend the games.
Eddie du Plooy, Safa national executive committee member for Eastern Cape, said: "We are excited that playoffs are coming to our area. We are hopeful that the delegation coming here to inspect the facilities will be impressed."
Meanwhile, veteran administrator Barney Kujane has been appointed new Safa director of provincial affairs.
