A determined Orlando Pirates made Santos sweat as they drew 0-0 in a tense Absa Premiership League encounter at Athlone Stadium, Cape Town, on Saturday.

Nonetheless, Santos' coach, David Bright told Sowetan that he was happy with the results.

Bucs were unlucky not to grab the maximum points as they forced Santos to defend dearly especially in the last 35 minutes of the match.

"I am happy with the point we got, bear in mind that Pirates have got the best squad and our game plan to thwart their high balls coming from the flanks worked well," said Bright.

"My guys showed that team-work can do wonders especially after (Katlego) Mashego was sent off. They played above themselves, they were unlucky not to at least score a goal in the first half," said Bucs' coach, Rudolf Krol who shook his charges' hands.

The visitors were reduced to 10 men after their striker Mashego was shown a red card for a bone-crashing tackle on Santos' Romano Scott in the 57th minute.
