A lawyer and a court official have come forward and allege that they too were insulted and assaulted by senior public prosecutor Carlett Muller.
Last week, Sowetan reported that Muller, of the Johannesburg magistrate's court, allegedly treated cases involving black and white people differently.
In one case, Muller prosecuted a 12-year-old black child for stealing R1,55 but recommended that a 16-year-old white girl, charged with stealing clothes valued at R2900, be rehabilitated.
Nelisiwe Kallison, a court interpreter in the same court, says Muller pushed her out of her office. She opened a case of assault against Muller in February 2006.
Her statement reads in part: "I went to Mrs C Muller to deliver a union (Nehawu) report ... She stood up still screaming and slammed the door. I proceeded to knock. I wanted her to acknowledge receiving the report. She manhandled me very physically and pushed me out of her office."
Kallison said she was aggrieved because her case never went anywhere.
Sowetan is also in possession of correspondence between Mmeli Sibeko, a lawyer, and the National Prosecuting Authority.
Sibeko alleges that Muller insulted him during consultation. He had gone to her office to make representations on behalf of a black client.
"She took offence to my disagreement with her in front of her juniors and immediately terminated the discussion and instructed her junior to take the docket to court and told me to leave.
"I told her that I knew she would not give me a fair hearing because of her short temper. She said ... I must not come into her office with my geharde gat (bad attitude).
Muller declined to comment and referred all queries to the NPA.
NPA spokesman Tlali Tlali said: "A senior staff member has been appointed to investigate all these complaints.
"We will consider all the options available to us."
