Let's examine the root cause of the violence in KwaZulu-Natal. The ANC and IFP did a remarkable job by working together since the ceasefire of the late 1990s.

Let's examine the root cause of the violence in KwaZulu-Natal. The ANC and IFP did a remarkable job by working together since the ceasefire of the late 1990s.

But they should work together even more in a mature democracy. Tolerance should be paramount.

I don't condone the killings of comrades, but the ANC must not provoke other parties by meeting near their rallies. They got away with it against Cope by weakening and interrupting Cope meetings, but their strategy did not work in KZN. They must stop following opponents into their strongholds. It can't be a coincidence as rallies are advertised long in advance.
