Afrika Moves Media Agency has offered a R50000 reward for information leading to the recovery of 50000 images stolen from the company last Tuesday night.

Their offices at the Newtown precinct in Johannesburg were broken into and most of the high-tech computers were stolen.

Among other things that were stolen were three G4 Apple Mac Desktop computers, one Canon EOS 1v Camera with a 300mm lens and one silver Lacie Terabyte External hard drive.

Shaun Harris, one of the managing members, said: "The images on the hard drives are very valuable. The burglar bars were forced open and we have lost a lot."

He said one of the backup drives for primary storage that was in a secure location was also stolen.

"All the screens and keyboards were left as well as the smaller Apple Mac computers," he said.

Harris asked that the hard drives be returned intact as the information was unique. "The images cover a very wide range of topics of South African life," he said.

Anyone with information should call Harris on 082-445-6088 or 011-838-5645.
