Park Village Auctions has an unusual sale on its roster, the only abattoir in Bronkhorstspruit, east of Tshwane.

Specifically the sale relates to Brake Glass Trading, previously known as Micromatica 130. The operation is in liquidation.

The sale takes place next Thursday, February 5, at 31 Nywerheid Crescent, Erasmus Extension 2, Bronkhorstspruit and will commence at 10.30am.

The fixed assets, to be sold first, include a large stand improved with various facebrick buildings, including an offal section, slaughterhouse, walk-in cold rooms with compressor plant, offices and a butchery.

Other improvements comprise cattle and sheep pens, off-loading ramps, a cattle crush, water reservoirs, high-flow drainage and dispatching or off-loading area.

All refrigerated areas are fitted with blower units connected to an outside compressor.

Peter Havenga of Park Village Auctions, who is managing the sale, says certain repairs are needed to bring the facility up to "abattoir hygiene" standard as required by the Department of Agriculture regulations to re-issue a licence of competence.

The fixed asset sale will be followed by the sale of moveable assets, including air-operated portion cutters, high-pressure carcass saws, digital scales, carcass hooks, and upright display refrigerators.

There will also be a selection of office furniture anda 1998 Toyota Canter 2.5 with a loading container box.
