Amajita right-back Michael Morton says nothing can stop them from beating Ghana today and advancing to the final of African Youth Championship in Kigali, Rwanda.
The match kicks off at 2pm.
The South African juniors finished second in Group B behind Nigeria after they beat Ivory Coast 1-0 and Nigeria 2-1, before losing 2-1 to Egypt.
Ghana beat Rwanda and Mali by the same 2-0 scoreline and played to a 1-all draw with Cameroon, who were runners-up to Ghana in Group A.
Morton said they have put their qualification for the World Youth Championship behind them and the focus is now on winning the tournament.
He said one strategy that can assist them to overpower their opponents is the "man-to-man approach".
"The morale at our camp is very high. I believe that we have a good chance to beat Ghana. What we will need to do is to keep our fighting spirit, and not let our opponents intimidate us as that will end up disorganising us," Morton told Sowetan yesterday from Rwanda.
His sentiments were shared by his coach, Serame Letsoaka.
"I am happy because we finalised our training today [yesterday] without any injuries or suspensions. All the boys are ready for the battle. I am confident that we will win," said Letsoaka.
Letsoaka may opt to start with Ramahlwe Mphahlele, Thulani Hlatshwayo, Thabang Matuka and Morton in the defence, while Thela Ngobeni will be in the poles.
He is likely to use Kamohelo Mokotjo, Dylon Claasen, Thulani Serero and Mandla Masango in the middle and Phumelele Bhengu and George Maluleka will do the work up front.
Nigeria will play Cameroon in the other semifinal at 5.45pm.
