As a result of this internationally-proven-to-fail system, many state institutions are dysfunctional simply because qualified individuals are muscled out and replaced by ANC cronies.
The manifesto offers nothing new with regards to deal with issues and problems confronting citizens. What are their plans for the crime epidemic? No plans. What are their plans for our ailing health system? No plans. What are their plans for the challenges in education? No plans. What will the ANC do about the ever-growing housing problems? No plans.
On the other hand, the soon-to-be-launched DA manifesto will present a plan which sets out steps to reach our vision of an open, opportunity society for all. It seeks to reduce poverty by creating opportunities for all. Individuals should have the chance to improve their lives and become the best they can be.
South Africans have the opportunity to look at what is on offer and what proposals are tabled, as opposed to fancy words and rhetoric with little or no substance.
