I was watching the game between Kaizer Chiefs and Thanda Royal Zulu on SuperSport4 on Sunday and was very disappointed by a section of the crowd that booed Gordon Gilbert.

I was watching the game between Kaizer Chiefs and Thanda Royal Zulu on SuperSport4 on Sunday and was very disappointed by a section of the crowd that booed Gordon Gilbert.

I don't think these people can call themselves Chiefs supporters because what they did was helping TRZ.

We need to be educated in the art of team support in SA.

How do we think we are helping our team by booing one of our own? We need to learn to stand behind our team and players if we desire good results. Right now the confidence of the young defender is destroyed.

I was also disappointed by the comments of Zane Moosa when he said: "Muhsin [Ertugral, Chiefs' coach] must thank his lucky stars and the individual brilliance of [Abia] Nale for the win."

These comments came as a total surprise to me because Robert Marawa had asked him and Doctor Khumalo for a prediction and they both said Chiefs would win the game. Why did he say that before kickoff?

Nale is a Chiefs player who was brought on board by Ertugral and he didn't do anything special to create the goal scored by Zwane. He did what is expected of him as a player.

Before we talk about a player's individual brilliance let us give credit to the coach who brought the player on board I can promise you there aren't a lot of people who knew a lot about Nale until he was signed by Muhsin.

I would also like to plead with SuperSport to improve their camera work. When we are watching a live soccer match they should not over-do the slow-motion. That can be done at half-time in their highlights package.

Zakes Nakedi,

Ennerdale
