If you are aged between seven and 17, and you have a passion for the stage, you might as well consider enrolling for a potentially fruitful theatre workshop.

This series of theatre workshops will be conducted by the National Children's Theatre Trust (NCT) from this Saturday at their Johannesburg premises.

The NCT workshops are directed by award-winning Joyce Levinsohn, who has many years of experience in making theatrical arts alive.

The workshops have produced many well known stars now working in South Africa and overseas.

The NCT's highly experienced, dedicated and specialist teacher-actors facilitate these exciting workshops.

The NCT provides challenging, innovative and stimulating theatre workshop classes on a weekly, year-round basis for children, irrespective of cognitive, physical, financial circumstances or gender.

The workshops give children the opportunity to develop their communication skills, unleash their imagination and create a new world of self-confidence and expression.

The syllabus includes drama, improvisation, script reading, singing, music appreciation, mime, physical theatre, public speaking, modern, hip-hop and African dance. A TV presentation course will be offered according to demand.

The Saturday workshops are presented at 3 Junction Avenue, Parktown, Johannesburg from 9.30am to noon.

The cost is R70 a child per session.
