Lebowakgomo Wildbeasts' 19-0 mauling of Mamaolo Rebels on Sunday at Mahwelereng diamonds has been seen as a stern warning to their rivals for the Limpopo Softball Association LimDev Super League title.

Wildbeasts are second on the log with 24 points after they won all eight their matches so far this season, scoring 120 runs and conceding 27.

Mahwelereng Spikes are on top of the log, level on points with Wildbeasts but edging them on run difference. Defending champions Seleteng Giant Killers are three points behind the leaders, with two matches in hand.

In a worrying trend Kalkspruit Red Scorpions arrived late for their match against Spikes at 10.30am, while Seshego Raiders failed to turn up for their matches against Rebels and Texas.

As a result the three teams were each awarded three points and seven runs.

In the other matches Spikes beat Texas 5-4 and Cannons beat Red Scorpions 5-2 to move from twelfth spot to eleventh.

Two ladies' matches pitting Spikes against Polokwane Ladies and Wildbeasts were rescheduled until further notice.
