Vusi Pikoli, the sacked national director of public prosecutions, will present his case to parliament this morning.
Pikoli,pictured left, will appear in front of the parliamentary committee set up to decide if President Kgalema Motlanthe was right to fire him. Pikoli is expected to say he should be reinstated because the Ginwala commission last year found him suitable for the same position.
Although it has not been decided when parliament will be dissolved, the official final date for the last session is April 13. If Motlanthe proclaims an election date in March parliament will be dissolved sooner.
Many parliamentary committees say they are rushing against time to have a final stab at wiping out corruption before parliament closes.
