Funky local hip-hop group Jozi is taking the international music scene by storm.

Last year they scooped the MTV Award in Nigeria. Now they have been chosen to take part in the American tradition of Spring Break in Florida, in the US.

Jozi, which is made up of Ishmeal Morabe, Bongani Fassie and Leslie Mampe, will be performing at the celebrated event dubbed the "paradise of beer and boobs".

Other activities during Spring Break include beach volleyball where students from various colleges compete.

Starting on March 11, Spring Break runs until March 18, offering party lovers a chance to party 24 hours a day.

Mampe said yesterday: "It's going to be a wonderful experience and an opportunity for us to show the world what we can do."

He said going to the US would open doors for the group to perform at other international events.

Promising hip-hop group Jozi was formed last year by the three youngsters.
