While the Education Department claims that all matric candidates have received outstanding results, 27 pupils were yesterday still doing their portfolios.

Last month at least 56300 pupils did not receive their results.

This week Education Minister Naledi Pandor said all results were out. The only ones remaining were for candidates suspected of cheating.

Twenty-seven pupils from West Ridge High School in Florida, west of Johannesburg, were on Wednesday called and told to report to school.

The school says the 27 pupils did not complete the portfolios that count for their final mark in computer aided technology.

For subject the pupils have to do projects during the year and the school has to submit them to the department for assessment.

Parent Ivan Molefe said: "When they called we thought they would tell us that the results are ready.

"Instead, they told us that we must bring our children to complete the portfolio."

When Sowetan went to the school yesterday parents where dropping off their children to complete their portfolios.
