Orlando Pirates chairman Irvin Khoza yesterday said he would strongly consider bringing Mbulelo "OJ" Mabizela back "home".

But Khoza was reluctant to say whether the Buccaneers had made a formal bid for the defender. This out of respect for the player's present employers, Mamelodi Sundowns.

The Iron Duke was responding to posters by the Bucs faithful calling for the notorious defender to be brought back to Pirates.

"There is an emotive bond between Pirates and OJ. We gave him his break in professional soccer and we will not stand aside if he happens to need us," said Khoza.

lExcellent Walaza concentrated on the positives of being sacrificed for Katlego Mashego by Pirates in the deal with SuperSport United.

"I am looking forward to working with [coach] Gavin Hunt and helping the champions defend the title," he said. - Additional info by Mcelwa Nchabeleng
