Athletics South Africa yesterday launched the Yellow Pages Series 2009 in Johannesburg.
The launch was graced by elite athletes such as long jumper Khotso Mokoena, hurdler LJ van Zyl and the Phalula twins, Lebo and Lebogang.
The six-race series begins off with the first leg in Potchefstroom next week.
Mokoena and Van Zyl both said they were looking forward to improving on last year's performance and qualifying for the World Championships in Germany in August.
"I'm looking forward to participating in all six races. I've been working on new techniques and I'd like to target the SA and African record," said Mokoena. - Linda Moreotsene
