Popular Metro FM DJ Azania Ndoro and her sports presenter husband Tony are so serious about fighting women abuse that they stripped naked for the cameras.
The Ndoros, pictured, are one of eight celebrity couples who have posed in the nude for Marie Clare magazine's February issue to support People Opposing Women Abuse.
The other couples are Minki Visser and her husband Constant, actress and model Christina Storm and former Idols finalist and singer Munro du Toit, soccer star Ryan Botha and Stacey le Roux, actors Genevieve Howard and Clint Brink, Watershed lead singer Craig Hinds and his wife Natalie, fashion designer Craig Port and his partner Bryan Hellmann and comedian and radio personality Soli Philander and his wife Toni.
Kate Wilson, Marie Clare's editor, said the portraits would be auctioned and the proceeds go to Powa.
"We had to work twice as hard on this year's campaign to convince celebrities and their partners to take part in the protest, but it only reinforced the issue for us. We all need to double our efforts to take a stand against domestic violence. It's one of South Africa's most insidious problems and we need to work together to overcome the silence that surrounds it."
Delphine Serumaga, executive director of Powa said every six days a woman is killed in this country by her partner.
"Women are more likely to be attacked by someone they know than by a stranger. We hope that this campaign will raise awareness of this major problem.
"We want to send a message of zero tolerance about the issue. Everyone must carry our helpline number and give it to others. Giving it to a friend, colleague, family member or even a stranger you suspect may be a victim, you could save their life."
