Elle magazine, in partnership with Max Factor, the leading international make-up brand, is looking for a make-up artist.

The competition is open to emerging make-up artists who have completed their training but have not been in the industry for more than five years.

To enter, make-up artists should download a face chart from www.ellemagazine.co.za and design a make-up look on the chart using Max Factor products with full reference. They then have to put together an A3 inspiration chart using images from magazines, photos and colour palettes. Then they have to demonstrate the look on a friend and take a picture.

Elle's beauty editor Zanele Kumalo said her publication saw this platform as a fantastic opportunity to discover new make-up talent in South Africa.

The 10 finalists selected will be notified by February 16. The winner gets to assist on an Elle fashion shoot and receive credit and win a make-up kit from Max Factor. The winner also represents Max Factor for a year at events, road shows and in the media, and co-hosts an Elle workshop.

The closing date is January 30. Send entries to Elle at 37 Bath Ave, Rosebank, 1st Floor, or PO Box 1741, Saxonwold, 2132 for the attention of Zanele Kumalo.
