Gauteng MEC for Education Angie Motshekga may wish to soon forget yesterday.

But if she was embarrassed, then didn't show it.

Introducing the Minister of Education Naledi Pandor to the Bokgoni Technical High School pupils in Atteridgeville, Tshwane, Motshekga referred to her boss as "him".

Not prepared to let it go, the alert pupils swiftly chorused: "It is her, madam, not him," but an unperturbed Motshekga trundled on.

Bokgoni is one of Dinaledi schools dedicated to maths and science education. It was adopted by Volkswagen who donated laptop computers and other equipment.

In the company of Deputy President Baleka Mbete, Pandor started her school's tour at Mpumalanga's KwaNdebele Science School, one of the best performing schools that achieved a 93,2 percent pass rate.
